The Brewers are skipping Eric Lauer’s next start to give him a chance to reset

The Milwaukee Brewers are giving Eric Lauer a brief break from starting to allow him to reset and hopefully find the form he has shown in the past, manager Craig Counsell said Saturday.

Lauer’s next start, which was slated to be early in the week against the St. Louis Cardinals, is being skipped and he will work out of the bullpen as needed for the time being.
