MADISON – Wisconsin and Maryland have traveled dramatically different paths through the first eight games of the season.

Those paths cross at 8 p.m. Tuesday night at the Kohl Center.

The Terrapins (8-0, 1-0 Big Ten) won their first seven games of the season by double digits, an average of 21.9 points per game, and then opened league play with a 71-66 home victory over No. 17 Illinois. As a result, they moved up nine spots Monday
